Two days after our wedding my new husband and I left for our European honeymoon. Our trip to Europe was both our first time to the continent and our first vacation, togethe, longer than 5 days. Being that he’s in the restaurant industry, we never have a chance to get away for extended periods of time. We’ve become accustomed to frequent 3-day weekend trips which has sufficed our hunger for travel in the 5 years we’ve been together. However, being that this trip was our honeymoon, the boss let him get away for 2 weeks and a few days
Our honeymoon was supposed to begin in Spain. A delayed flight, cancelled flight, and re-routed flight later we ended up at CDG. With a few hours to spare, we took our flight attendant’s advice and hopped on a train to St. Michel. We didn’t have time for the Eiffel Tower but we did have time to see the Notre Dame Cathedral, have lunch, and grab a chocolate croissant.
Our quick sample of Paris was a nice little taste of future vacations to come.
